Pork Baked with Sauerkraut and Bell Pepper

The pork baked according to this recipe turns out to be very tender and moderately spicy. Meat is marinated in mustard and baked with sauerkraut and bell peppers.

Ingredients

  • Pork (pulp) – 700 g
  • Sauerkraut – 200 g
  • Sweet pepper – 1 pc.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Garlic – 3-4 cloves
  • Hot mustard – 2 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp + for greasing the mold
  • Dill (optional, for serving) – to taste

Directions

  1. Wash the meat and cut into medium pieces.
  2. Peel the onion and cut it into quarters.
  3. Peel the garlic and grate it on a fine grater.
  4. Combine meat, onions, garlic, vegetable oil, mustard, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Mix well. Leave to marinate for 20 minutes.
  6. Chop the cabbage. Turn on the oven to heat up to 200 degrees.
  7. Rinse sweet peppers, peel, and cut into half rings.
  8. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil. Put the cabbage in the mold.
  9. Layout the bell peppers.
  10. Spread the meat and onions evenly on top. Cover with foil.
  11. Bake meat with sauerkraut and bell peppers in the oven for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Let the finished dish stand in the form for 10-15 minutes.
  12. Serve baked pork with sauerkraut and bell peppers, with your favorite side dish. Sprinkle with dill if desired.
