Ingredients

  • 2 kg pork ribs
  • 2 onions)
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 150 ml oil
  • 150 g tomato paste
  • 60 ml vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon, crushed basil, rubbed
  • 1 tablespoon, crushed thyme, rubbed
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder, or mustard
  • 1 teaspoon sambal oelek
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ Tabasco
  • 250 ml beef broth
  • 100 g honey
  • 4 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Steam the finely chopped onions and cloves of garlic in it until translucent. Stir in tomato paste, vinegar, spices, broth, honey and Worcestershire sauce and let simmer for approx. 10 minutes. Stir every now and then.
  3. In the meantime, rinse the ribs under running cold water, pat dry and place in a large casserole dish or drip pan. Spread the sauce on the ribs and place in the oven for about 1 hour.
  4. Mixed iceberg lettuce and baked potatoes go well with it.
