Ingredients

  • 4 pork schnitzel
  • 1 can pizza tomatoes
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 150 g mushrooms
  • 250 g mozzarella
  • some salt and pepper from the mill
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • some basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • possibly sugar
  • Herbs, Italian, dried
  • possibly red wine

Instructions

  1. Wash the pork schnitzel, pat dry and season with salt and pepper and cut in half if necessary. Cut the mozzarella into slices, clean the mushrooms and also cut them into slices. Finely chop the onion and garlic.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the schnitzel vigorously on both sides. Take out of the pan and set aside.
  3. Sweat the finely chopped onion in the same pan. Add the garlic, sugar, mushrooms and tomato paste, fry and deglaze with the chopped tomatoes. Pour water and possibly red wine on top. Season to taste with salt, pepper and herbs, simmer everything for approx. 10-15 minutes.
  4. Put the tomato sauce in a baking dish, place the schnitzel on top and cover with the mozzarella slices. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 - 220 ° C (top / bottom heat) for approx. 10 minutes, garnish with the basil leaves and serve.
  5. This goes well with spaghetti or rice and a green salad.
