Instructions

  1. You take a loaf pan and cover it with plenty of caramel. The caramel later becomes liquid and is the sauce for the pudding - as you know it with the flans and puddings in Portugal, Spain, etc.
  2. Bring the milk and desiccated coconut to the boil while stirring. Put the pot on its side. Beat eggs with sugar until frothy. Add coconut milk and beat again with the hand mixer.
  3. Pour the mixture into the loaf pan and bake in a water bath at 160 degrees in a preheated oven for 50 minutes. Please leave the oven closed.
  4. Let the pudding cool well in the tin before turning it out. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or desiccated coconut. Finished!

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
