Potato Balls

A tasty and easy-to-prepare dish of mashed potatoes and hard cheese – potato meatballs.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 10 pcs.
  • Hard cheese – 70 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Salt to taste
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil
  • Butter

Directions

  1. Peel, wash, cut and boil the potatoes in salted water. Drain and leave to cool.
  2. Twist the cooled potatoes through a meat grinder. Grate cheese on a coarse grater.
  3. Beat the egg and combine with potatoes, pour grated cheese there. Stir well.
  4. Make blanks for the cue ball.
  5. Roll each piece in breadcrumbs and make shallow cuts in the form of a lattice.
  6. Heat vegetable oil, add butter to it.
  7. Put the potato meatballs in a preheated pan.
  8. Fry the potato balls on both sides until golden brown. Fry over medium-high heat.
  9. The mashed potatoes are ready. Potato balls can be served as a side dish or as a separate dish. I served with mushroom sauce (see ingredient list for recipe).
