Potato Balls-Zrazy with Cutlets, Baked with Cheese

Ordinary meatballs with mashed potatoes can look like a gourmet dish thanks to the original design in the form of potato balls with a round cutlet inside and a cheese cap with herbs on top. A great way to prepare a familiar surprise dinner!
Ingredients
Potatoes – 700 g
Minced meat – 300 g
Bulb onions – 1 pc.
Garlic – 2 cloves
Egg – 1 pc.
Bread crumbs – 100 g
Hard cheese – 50 g
Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp
Fresh parsley – 3-4 sprigs
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper – to taste
Vegetable oil – for frying cutlets and greasing the mold
Directions
Peel the potatoes, cut into pieces, and pour water into a saucepan. Put on high heat. After boiling, salt the water and cook the potatoes, covered, over low heat until tender (about 20 minutes).
Then drain the water. Mash hot potatoes with a crush (not a blender) in mashed potatoes. If the potatoes are dry, you can add a lump of butter.
Break the egg into a bowl and beat with a fork. Pour half of the beaten egg into the puree and stir.
Peel and chop the onion and garlic as small as possible. Add the onion and garlic to the minced meat, season with salt and pepper. Pour in 2 tablespoon. tablespoons of crackers and mix.
Pour the remaining half of the beaten egg into the minced meat. Knead the minced meat well with your hands and beat it on the bottom of the bowl several times. Leave the minced meat to rest for 20 minutes.
Then form small round cutlets from the minced meat. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the cutlets on all sides until golden brown.
Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees. Pour the remaining bread crumbs into a bowl. Take a tablespoon of mashed potatoes and flatten with your hands to make a flat cake. Put the cutlet in the center of the potato tortilla and wrap it in mashed potatoes.
Thus, wrap all the cutlets in mashed potatoes. Breaded potato balls-zrazy with cutlets in breadcrumbs.
Grease a baking dish with oil, put potato zrazy with cutlets there, send to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Meanwhile, grate the cheese. Wash the parsley, dry, and chop finely. Combine cheese and parsley, add mayonnaise. Mix.
Remove the cutlet dish from the oven. Put cheese mass on each cutlet. Return the mold to the oven and bake the zrazy for another 7-10 minutes, until the cheese melts.
Delicious and hearty potato zrazy with cutlets, under a cheese “hat”, are ready.
Serve hot. Enjoy your meal!
