Potato Canapes with Herring

by Editorial Staff

Appetizing canapes for the holiday are a great cook’s idea. I suggest making an appetizer from the most compatible products – potatoes and herring – and using potato mini-pancakes for the canapes, not slices of bread.

Cook: 25 minutes

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 3-4 pcs.
  • Salted herring (pieces of herring, preserves) – 200 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Flour – 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Vegetable oil – for frying

Directions

  1. First, let’s make a base of potato canapes. The process will resemble baking pancakes.
So, chop the peeled potatoes. Whom to take in the “auxiliary”, decide for yourself. You can use a grater or blender (attachment – knife). The first way is more familiar.
  2. We drive in one egg.
  3. Next, add flour to a bowl.
  4. Salt. You can add a little ground pepper.
  5. Mix the potato mass thoroughly.
  6. We make mini-pancakes from the potato mass, which we put in heated vegetable oil and fry on both sides.
  7. The mini potato pancakes should turn golden brown.
  8. Put the potato base on a plate.
  9. Put pieces of herring on top.
  10. We fix it with skewers.

Enjoy your meal!
