Ingredients

  • 1 kg potato (s)
  • 1 kg carrot (s)
  • 1 onion (s)
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly nutmeg
  • milk
  • parsley

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel and cut the potatoes and carrots into small pieces. Peel a large onion and quarter it. Cook for about 15-20 minutes so that the vegetables are nice and soft.
  2. Then fish out the cooked onion parts and pour off the water. Mash the potatoes and carrots together. The cooking water or a little milk can be used as a liquid. Season to taste with salt, pepper and possibly nutmeg.
  3. Serve with e.g. sausages or bacon slices. Garnish with fresh parsley.
