- 1 kg potato (s)
- 1 kg carrot (s)
- 1 onion (s)
- salt and pepper
- possibly nutmeg
- milk
- parsley

- Wash, peel and cut the potatoes and carrots into small pieces. Peel a large onion and quarter it. Cook for about 15-20 minutes so that the vegetables are nice and soft.
- Then fish out the cooked onion parts and pour off the water. Mash the potatoes and carrots together. The cooking water or a little milk can be used as a liquid. Season to taste with salt, pepper and possibly nutmeg.
- Serve with e.g. sausages or bacon slices. Garnish with fresh parsley.
