Potato Casserole with Mushrooms and Meat

Potato casserole with mushrooms and meat. You can cook in a pot or in a deep baking sheet.

Servings: 3

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 6 pieces
  • Onions – 1 large or 2 small
  • Meat – I used 1 chicken breast
  • Mushrooms (dried or fresh) – to taste

To fill:

  • Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp
  • Sour cream – 2 tbsp
  • Garlic – 3 cloves
  • Spices, seasonings to taste
  • Water

Directions

  1. Grate potatoes on a coarse grater (can be cut into circles).
  2. Cut the meat into cubes and fry in vegetable oil.
  3. Cut the onion into half rings, fry in oil after the meat.
  4. Boil dry mushrooms and fry. You can use fresh mushrooms!
  5. Laying in layers:

    1 layer – potatoes;

    2-nd layer – meat;

    3-rd layer – onions;

    4-the layer – mushrooms;

    5-the layer – potatoes;

  6. In a separate bowl, prepare the filling: mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic, salt, pepper, herbs, oregano (any herbs), pour water, and heat.
  7. Fill the casserole with the prepared mixture through a strainer, so that the top layer is not poured.
  8. Put the potato casserole in a preheated oven under the lid (cover the baking sheet with foil).
  9.  After 20 minutes, open the potato casserole and sprinkle with cheese. We put on for another 25 minutes.
