  • 1 kg potato (s), floury
  • 2 onions)
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 0.5 liter ½ water

Instructions

  1. Peel the potato and cut into thin slices. Peel and roughly chop the onions.
  2. Put the margarine in a coated pan. Steam the onion cubes in it until golden. Then add the potato slices and season with a little salt and pepper. Deglaze with approx. 0.5 liters of water (at the beginning it is better to add a little less water, as the liquid should have evaporated at the end. If the water evaporates quickly, then carefully add a little more water). With the lid closed, let it steam for about half an hour over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Either pickled sweet and sour pumpkin or - if you like it a bit more hearty - a sausage salad goes well with it.
