Ingredients

  • 250 g rice (lon rain, parboiled rice), loose
  • 500 ml chicken broth, very hot

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pot. Peel the onion, dice finely and fry in the oil until translucent. Add rice and roast briefly until it is lightly browned. Then deglaze with the very hot broth.
  2. Stir briefly and place in the preheated oven with the lid closed at 175 ° C for approx. 25 to 30 minutes.
  3. But it can also be cooked normally on the stove if you wish.
  4. Note: If there is no broth (the rice is still hard, but no longer has any liquid to swell), you may need to add some more. Everything fits that goes well with normal rice - especially dishes with little or no sauce, e.g. fried foods or the like.
