Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 500g flour
  • 1 pack dry yeast
  • 75 grams sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 75 g butter, melt
  • 1 medium egg (s)
  • 250 ml milk, lukewarm

For covering:

  • 2 packs pudding powder, vanilla
  • 80 g suar
  • 1 liter milk, cold

Instructions

  1. Sift the flour into a bowl and mix carefully with the yeast. Add the remaining ingredients, work everything with an electric hand mixer with dough hook first on the lowest, then on the highest setting in about 5 minutes to a smooth dough. Let stand in a warm place until it is about twice as high, then knead well again. Roll out 2/3 of the dough on a greased baking sheet, press up a little at the edges.
  2. Mix the pudding powder with the sugar and 8 tablespoons of the milk in a small container. Bring the remaining milk to the boil and remove from the hob. Pour in the mixed pudding powder, bring to the boil briefly, stirring occasionally while it cools.
  3. Put the filling on the dough, smooth out. Roll out the remaining dough, cut into strips and place on the cake as a grid. Let stand again until it is about twice as high, only then put it in the oven.
  4. Bake at 200 ° C - 220 ° C (preheat gas for 5 minutes, setting 4-5) for approx. 20 minutes.
