Ingredients

For the pudding: (custard)

  • 500 ml milk
  • 2 tablespoon, heaped cornstarch
  • 4 tablespoon sugar
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste or the pulp a vanilla pod

For the pudding: (chocolate pudding)

  • 500 ml milk
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 4 tablespoon sugar
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste or the pulp a vanilla pod
  • 100 g dark chocolate or milk chocolate or white chocolate

Instructions

  1. First, milk, cornstarch, sugar and vanilla paste are poured into a saucepan and stirred until smooth with a whisk. Then everything is brought to a boil on the stove, stirring constantly. After boiling, the pudding should simmer for another two minutes, stirring constantly. Now the pot is removed from the stove and the butter is stirred in until it has melted.
  2. For the variant with chocolate, the dark chocolate is finally stirred in and the pudding is ready.
  3. This is filled in bowls and can be served straight away. However, it can also be placed in the refrigerator to cool down and set.
