Puff Buns “Hearts” with Cheese Instructions

  1. Prepare the necessary ingredients for making heart buns. I took the store-bought puff yeast dough, but you can use yeast-free, as well as homemade dough. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.

  2. Open the thawed dough and roll it into a thin layer. I got a rectangle measuring 50×28 cm.
  3. Brush the rolled dough completely with the ketchup on one side.
  4. Sprinkle with coarse grated hard cheese on top.
  5. Also top up with finely chopped fresh dill. You can add a little salt and pepper to the filling if required.
  6. Roll a layer of dough stuffed from a wide edge into a roll. Stop in the middle.
  7. In the same way, roll the dough into a roll on the opposite side.
  8. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the resulting double “roll” into pieces of 1.5-2 cm. Put the blanks on the prepared baking sheet, cut down. Pinch the bottom tip of the dough firmly, forming a “heart”.
Puff Buns “Hearts” with Cheese step 8
  9. Place the puff heart buns in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 20-25 minutes. The buns should rise and brown. The finished buns need to be removed and slightly cooled.

Bon Appetit!
