Ingredients

  • 1 packet puff pastry, frozen
  • 200 g marzipan paste
  • 1 packet powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoon condensed milk
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 0.5 ½ bottle rum flavor, as desired
  • Water, or lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Thaw the puff pastry.
  2. Knead the marzipan, half of the powdered sugar, condensed milk and possibly the rum flavor. Divide into 12 pieces. Roll out the puff pastry sheets into a 10 cm x 20 cm rectangle and cut in half across. Place a piece of marzipan on each corner of the squares, roll up diagonally and shape into croissants.
  3. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush with egg yolk. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes.
  4. Mix the rest of the powdered sugar with water or lemon juice and thinly coat the croissants with it or sprinkle the powdered sugar over the croissants.
