Puff Pastry Roll with Apples

For dessert for tea or even on a festive table, prepare a very beautiful, crispy and appetizing puff pastry roll with apples at home.

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry – 1 Kilogram
  • Apples – 0.5 Kilogram
  • Cinnamon – 1 Pinch
  • Sugar – To taste
  • Walnuts – To taste
  • Breadcrumbs – 2-3 tbsp
  • Egg – 1 Piece

Directions

  1. First, wash the apples, peel them if desired, and cut them into small cubes.
  2. Add some sugar to taste and, if desired, a pinch of cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, chopped nuts and breadcrumbs. Mix everything well until smooth. In the recipe for making a puff pastry roll with apples, you can use not only walnuts, but also any other nuts.
  4. Roll out the dough a little, put the nut mixture on the edge first, and the apples on top.
  5. Roll up the roll gently.
  6. In a small bowl, beat the egg, brush it on the roll on all sides.
  7. Make small cuts on top with a sharp knife. Send the roll to the preheated oven.
  8. Bake the apple puff pastry roll at home for about 40 minutes (until golden brown).
  9. That’s it! Sprinkle with icing sugar on top before serving. Carefully cut the resulting roll into portions and serve with ice cream or syrup, for example.
