I make delicious crispy pies with canned fish and rice from ready-made puff pastry. You can use absolutely any canned fish as a filling – it always turns out very tasty.
Cook: 40 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients
Yeast-free puff pastry – 500 g
Rice – 100 g
Canned fish in its own juice – 240 g
Bulb onions – 1 pc. (90 g)
Vegetable oil – 4 tablespoons
Yolk – 1 pc.
Directions
Rinse and cook rice until cooked – this is about 20 minutes from the moment the water boils.
Peel the onions and carrots. Chop the onion finely. Grate carrots on a coarse grater.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat and add chopped vegetables, fry until soft.
Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees. Mash the canned fish with a fork directly in a tin can, after draining the liquid. Put boiled rice, vegetable frying, and fish in a bowl.
Let’s mix everything. The filling is ready.
Roll out the completely defrosted dough into a thin layer, which we cut into squares with a side of 8-10 cm. On one of the corners of each square of dough, put 1-2 tbsp of filling.
Fold the dough into a triangle with the filling inside and fasten the edges with a fork. Let’s do this with all the dough and filling.
Cover the baking sheet with culinary parchment. Put the prepared triangles on parchment. Shake the yolk with 1 tablespoon. a spoon of water until smooth. Lubricate each triangle with a mixture of yolk and water so that a golden crust appears during baking.
We will bake the pies for 30 minutes at 180 degrees. We will serve hot pies to the table immediately.
