Ingredients

  • 200 g quark, lactose-free
  • 100 g suar
  • 6 tablespoon milk, lactose-free
  • 8 tablespoon plant cream or neutral oil
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 8 g salt
  • 1 egg (s) or egg yolk
  • 400 g spelled flour (type 630)
  • 1 packet tartar baking powder
  • Cream, lactose-free for brushing
  • Hail sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Mix the quark, sugar, milk, oil, vanilla sugar, salt and egg one after the other. Mix the flour and baking powder and add gradually and knead everything together. Then let it rest for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Preheat the oven to approx. 170 - 180 ° C (top / bottom heat).
  2. Then knead the dough again and divide it into three equal pieces and braid them into a braid. Brush with cream and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  3. Bake on the middle rack for approx. 25 - 30 minutes until golden yellow. Take out of the oven and let cool on a wire rack.
