Ingredients

  • 4 egg (s), separated
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 180 g suar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 80 g butter
  • 750 g quark (low-fat quark or 20%, but can also be mixed)
  • 80 g semolina (common wheat)
  • 1 teaspoon, leveled baking powder
  • Butter for the mold

Instructions

  1. Beat egg whites with salt until stiff. In another bowl, beat the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy, gradually stir in the egg yolks. Add the quark and stir in. Mix semolina with baking powder. Also add and stir in. Finally fold in the egg whites. Pour the mixture into a casserole dish (approx. 20 x 30 cm in size) spread out with butter.
  2. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C top / bottom heat (gas: level 3) for about 1 hour.
  3. Serve with fruit of your choice and season. Sour cherries from the glass are particularly popular with us.
