Ingredients

  • 50 g powdered suar
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • 250 g quark
  • 50 g almond (s), chopped
  • 24 sour cherries
  • 0.5 tablespoon ½ cinnamon, ground
  • 0.5 tablespoon ½ coriander, ground
  • 250 ml milk
  • 50 g marzipan paste
  • 100 g chocolate, white
  • Chocolate, dark
  • 3 tablespoon amaretto

Instructions

  1. Beat the eggs and sugar until frothy. Stir in the quark, breadcrumbs and almonds. Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, drain the cherries and mix with the cinnamon and coriander.
  2. Divide the quark mixture into 8 equal portions. Form a bowl out of each portion in the palm of your hand, place 3 cherries in each and then form a dumpling out of each. It is advisable to rinse your hands with lukewarm water before each dumpling so that the dough does not stick.
  3. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan and add the dumplings. Let the dumplings steep for 10 minutes over medium heat.
  4. While the dumplings are brewing, bring the milk to a boil in a small saucepan. Dissolve the white chocolate and marzipan in it over a low heat, stirring constantly. Season to taste with amaretto. Pour the marzipan sauce over the dumplings and then grate the dark chocolate over it.
