Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 250 g quark (low-fat quark)
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 1 cube yeast
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 teaspoon butter, warm

For painting:

  • 1 egg yolk, whisked (alternatively condensed milk)
  • some water, lukewarm

Instructions

  1. First dissolve the yeast with a little lukewarm water and 1 teaspoon sugar.
  2. Sift the flour into a bowl. Add the quark, egg, the remaining sugar, butter and salt. Add the yeast that has now dissolved and stir to a smooth batter. Let rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  4. Shape the dough into approx. 8 rolls of equal size. Brush with a whisked egg yolk or condensed milk and bake for about 20 minutes.
  5. The rolls taste best fresh for breakfast.
