Quiche with Apples and Cherries

Quiche with apples and cherries – an open pie with a juicy filling on the crispy dough.

Ingredients

For the test:

  • Flour – 300 g
  • Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Vegetable oil – 0.5 cups
  • Water (boiling water) – 0.5 cups
  • Butter (for greasing the mold) – 0.5 teaspoon

For filling:

  • Apples – 4 pcs.
  • Cherries (frozen) – 200 g
  • Butter – 20 g
  • Cracker cookies – 100 g
  • Honey – 2 tbsp
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp
  • Egg (for greasing the cake) – 1 pc.

Directions

  1. Mix the flour with salt and baking powder. Pour in vegetable oil and boiling water, mix quickly with a spoon, kneading the dough.
  2. Then continue kneading with your hands. You should get a homogeneous, soft, elastic dough. Cover the bowl with the dough with a towel and leave for 30 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, prepare the pie filling. To do this, cut the washed and peeled apples into large pieces. Grind the cookies into crumbs with a blender.
  4. Heat butter in a frying pan put apples. Add sugar and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove the pan from heat, add honey.
  5. Pour in chopped cookies. Mix. Grease a baking dish with butter and distribute the dough over it, make low sides. Put the apple filling on the dough.
  6. Add frozen cherries without thawing. Brush the edges of the dough with a beaten egg (optional). Put the mold with the dough in an oven heated to 190 degrees and bake the quiche for 35-40 minutes. Remove the quiche from the oven, cool in the form.
  7. Delicious and juicy quiche with apples and cherries on crispy dough is ready.
