  • 300 ml water, lukewarm
  • 1 cube yeast
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar
  • 500g flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • 25 g oil
  • 100 g fried onions

Instructions

  1. Mix the water with the yeast. Mix the flour, salt, sugar and fried onions in another bowl, then add the oil and the yeast mixture.
  2. Mix the ingredients with a mixer until the batter separates from the edge of the bowl. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
  4. Shape the dough into a baguette and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Cut the surface of the baguette with a knife and bake for about 20-30 minutes.
  5. The baguette can also be baked without fried onions, then simply leave them out. I could well imagine that it would also taste good with sun-dried tomatoes or walnuts.
