Ingredients

  • 350 g flour (wheat flour)
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 70 grams sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 50 ml milk
  • 150 g butter or mararine
  • 4 glasses applesauce, chunky (350 g each)
  • 75 g raisins
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 50 almond (s), peeled, sliced

Instructions

  1. For the dough: mix the flour with baking powder, sift into a mixing bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and work well with a hand mixer with dough hook, first briefly on the lowest, then on the highest level. Then knead into a smooth dough on a floured work surface. If the dough sticks, wrap it in foil and put it in a cool place for 20-30 minutes.
  2. Roll out almost half of the dough thinly, cut out a sheet of dough the size of a baking sheet (30 x 40 cm) for the top, roll it up on baking paper with the help of a rolling pin.
  3. Roll out the remaining dough on the greased baking sheet.
  4. For the filling, spread the applesauce with raisins on the base and roll the pastry on top. Beat egg yolks with milk to brush. Brush the dough with it and sprinkle with almonds. Prick the pastry cover several times with a fork. Put the baking sheet in the oven. Top / bottom heating 200-220 C, hot air 180-200 C, 20-25 min.
