Ingredients

  • 50 g oatmeal, tender
  • water, boiling
  • Red grits
  • some walnuts, crushed
  • 1 pinch (s) cinnamon
  • possibly whipped cream, whipped until stiff, optional

Instructions

  1. Put the tender oat flakes in a slightly wider glass. Heat the water with the kettle. Pour the boiling water over the oatmeal in the glass. The oatmeal should be just covered with the water. Put a lid on the jar and let it steep for 5 - 10 minutes. Now distribute some cinnamon evenly over the oat flakes. On top of this is a 1.5 cm layer (if you like) of red fruit jelly. Peel some walnuts and crush the walnut kernels into smaller pieces. They come on top now.
  2. Tip: If you want, you can put a layer of fresh cream on top when serving. But it is also very tasty without it.
