Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon clarified butter or butter
  • 125 g lentils, red
  • 4 small carrot (s)
  • 1 small onion (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 leek
  • 125 g ham, diced
  • 1 cup broth

Instructions

  1. Clean the carrots, cut into very small cubes and cook for about 7 minutes until they are firm to the bite and then drain.
  2. Heat clarified butter or butter in a pan. Add the ham cubes, the finely chopped onion and the grated garlic clove and sweat everything lightly. Wash the leek and cut into very small pieces and add to it. Add a cup of broth and bring everything to a boil. Then sprinkle in the lentils and simmer for another 3 - 5 minutes, until the lentils are still firm to the bite.
