Ingredients

  • 2 stalks rhubarb
  • 0.5 ½ bowl strawberries
  • 250 g low-fat quark
  • 60 ml milk
  • 100 g suar
  • some water

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the rhubarb, cut into pieces approx. 3 cm in size and sprinkle with 50 g of sugar. To let go. Wash the strawberries and cut them into small pieces. Add to the rhubarb and sugar mixture.
  2. Fill a saucepan with water so that the bottom is covered. Add the strawberry and rhubarb mixture and simmer covered over medium heat. Please do not forget to stir every now and then to check that there is still enough liquid in the pot.
  3. Now stir the quark with the milk until smooth, add a little sugar to taste (please don`t sweeten it too much, as the rhubarb and strawberry mixture is already very sweet). Pour the quark into beautiful glasses and chill.
  4. When the strawberries are soft and the rhubarb crumbles, use a potato masher (hand blender is also possible) to chop up the remaining pieces. Add the rest of the sugar.
  5. Let the mixture cool down a little until it is just lukewarm. Layer the lukewarm strawberry and rhubarb mixture on top of the quark.
