Rice Casserole (in a Slow Cooker)

The rice casserole is sure to please your kids. It is easier to cook a casserole in a multicooker, and there is less hassle, and the resulting casserole is airy and tastier.

Ingredients

  • Rice – 200 g
  • Milk – 200 ml
  • Water – 200 ml
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon.
  • Butter – 20 g + 5 g (for greasing the multicooker bowl)
  • Cream 20% – 100 ml
  • Chicken eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Raisins – 60 g
  • Sugar – 50 g

First, rice milk porridge is quickly cooked in a multicooker, and then the casserole is already prepared in the “Baking” mode.

If a casserole is being prepared for the adult part of the family, then you can safely add cinnamon or ginger – they will make the rice casserole more expressive.

How to make a rice casserole (in a slow cooker):

Directions

  1. Rinse the rice well with cold water, do not soak.
  2. Pour rice with water, milk, and salt.
  3. Switch on the “Milk porridge” mode. Set the cooking time to 28 minutes.
  4. Boil porridge from rice, milk, and water, salt, season the porridge with oil, and cool.
  5. Scald the raisins with boiling water and dry on a paper napkin.
  6. Beat eggs with sugar, add cream, and beat again.
  7. Put the raisins into the porridge and pour in the egg-cream mixture, mix well.
  8. Grease a multicooker bowl with butter.
  9. Place rice in a bowl.
  10. Set the “Baking” mode. Cook the rice casserole in a slow cooker for 45 minutes.
  11. After the end of the program, let the rice casserole cool for 10 minutes and remove using the steamer tray.
  12. You can sprinkle the casserole with powdered sugar or pour over condensed milk with cocoa.
  13. Serve the rice casserole with hot or cold drinks. If children do not want to eat porridge, then they will definitely not give up the rice casserole.
