Ingredients

  • 2 cup rice
  • 1 medium bell pepper (s)
  • 1 can tangerine (s)
  • 1 jar mayonnaise (250 ml)
  • 1 dash balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 handful ham, diced
  • 1 small onion (s)
  • Mushrooms
  • Paprika powder
  • Herbs Provence, TK, at will
  • possibly pickled cucumber (s)

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice in salted water until cooked.
  2. In the meantime, mix the mayonnaise with balsamic vinegar, some tangerine juice and the spices in a bowl. Season a little stronger, as the rice dampens the seasoning. Also note that the dressing has to be a little more liquid than later desired, as the rice draws a lot of liquid.
  3. Cut all other ingredients into quite small pieces and add to the dressing. Mushrooms, diced ham and onions can also be sautéed, but they also taste great raw. Let the cooked rice cool slightly and then stir in. In any case, season again before serving!
  4. You can enjoy the salad straight away, so it is still lukewarm. But you can also prepare it well, it also tastes cold.
