Ingredients

  • 1 large red cabbage
  • 6 large apples
  • 2 large onions
  • 30 ml red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar
  • 0.25 liter ¼ apple juice
  • 4 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cinnamon powder
  • 100 g clarified butter

Instructions

  1. Peel the apples, remove the core and cut into cubes. Finely dice the onions and cut the red cabbage into small pieces.
  2. Melt the clarified butter and add the diced apple and onion and sauté until the apple is soft. Add the cut red cabbage and season with red wine vinegar, salt, sugar and cinnamon. Mix everything well, pour in the apple juice and simmer for 90 minutes. Taste again.
