Ingredients

  • 2 handfuls leaves untreated scented roses
  • 0.5 liter ½ water
  • 0.5 kg ½ sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ citric acid
  • possibly aroma (essential oils)
Rose Syrup
Rose Syrup

Instructions

  1. Pour 0.5 liters of boiling water over the rose petals, then bring to the boil, turn off the stove and cover the infusion for 15 minutes. Then strain and reduce the brew with sugar and citric acid, allow to cool and fill.
  2. Possibly add a little more essential oil to enhance the fragrance - it is left to the taste.
  3. Fresh lemon is not used in this recipe as my experience has made the syrup go bad faster.
  4. Store the bottles in a cool place!

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
