Ingredients

  • 6 potato (s)
  • 800 g sauerkraut
  • 1 jar beans, thick green
  • 2 sausages (Krakauer)
  • 400 g minced pork
  • 200 g cheese, rated, e.. Emmentaler
  • salt and pepper
  • Savory
  • 2 small onions
  • 1 clove (s)
  • 1 bay leaf,
  • some oil

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and onions.
  2. Cut the potatoes into slices and fry them in a pan with oil for about 15 minutes until they are brown. Then layer them in a baking dish.
  3. In the same pan, fry the diced onion and the minced meat until crumbly. Now add the sauerkraut and the sliced Krakauer. Clove and bay leaf with it. Put the lid on and cook for about 20 minutes. Stirring occasionally. After 20 minutes add the beans with the stock and another 10 minutes
  4. keep cooking. Then remove the bay leaf and the clove and season with salt, pepper and savory.
  5. Place the mixture over the fried potatoes, sprinkle with cheese and bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 180 degrees.
  6. Since we don`t like the sauerkraut on its own, I always add beans, so the dish stays sour
  7. but not that strong.
