Instructions

  1. Diced the onion in a little oil, fry until translucent, add the sauerkraut, peel and core the apple, cut into small pieces and add. Add mustard, cloves, juniper berries, bay leaf and honey. Stir everything well and add a little vinegar if necessary so that it doesn`t burn. Let cook for about 45 minutes. With a pressure cooker (pressure cooker) the whole thing goes a little faster, about 10 minutes on the 2nd ring. It tastes even better if you let it stand overnight and then reheat it.
  2. Tastes good with potato noodles, sausages, blood and liver sausage.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
