Ingredients

  • 12 slices toast, e.g. rye toast
  • 1 tomato (s)
  • 4 slices cooked ham
  • 4 egg (s)
  • 100 g Emmentaler, rated or other hard cheese
  • 100 ml cream
  • some chives, cut into rolls or frozen
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut off the edges of the slices of toast and roll them flat with a rolling pin. Grease a muffin tin well and carefully pour the toast into it.
  2. Cut the tomato into small pieces and briefly place on a piece of kitchen paper to soak up the liquid, cut the cooked ham into cubes. Mix the eggs and cream and season with salt and pepper, stir in the cheese and mix in some of the chives.
  3. Mix part of the cheese mixture with the tomatoes and ham and pour into the toast baskets. Then pour the rest of the egg mixture over it.
  4. Place the muffin tin at 180 ° C top / bottom heat in the preheated oven on the middle rack and bake for approx. 20 minutes.
  5. Garnish the toast tart with chives and serve with a salad
