Ingredients

  • 300 g wheat
  • 100 g spelled
  • 70 g sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cube yeast
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 250 ml milk

Instructions

  1. Mix the wheat and spelled and grind finely. Toast the sesame seeds in a pan without fat. Mix the flour with half of the sesame in a bowl. Make a well in the middle and crumble the yeast into it. Pour the honey over it and wait for the yeast to dissolve. Warm the milk lukewarm and pour in. Knead everything thoroughly. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 30-40 minutes.
  2. Add the salt and knead everything again. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece of dough into a strand. Roll the strands in the remaining sesame seeds. Shape into rings. Place on a baking sheet and let rise for another 20 minutes. Bake at 200 ° C in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
