Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 500 g wheat flour
  • 1 cube yeast
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 250 ml milk
  • 100 g butter, soft
  • Flour for the work surface

For covering:

  • 200 g butter
  • 125 g suar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 150 g almond (s), sliced

Instructions

  1. For the dough, heat the milk lukewarm. Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk and stir in. Dissolve the flour in it. Mix the sugar, butter, vanilla sugar, salt and egg with the dough hook of the hand mixer and later with your hands to form a smooth dough. Then let the dough rise for an hour.
  2. Knead the dough briefly again on a lightly floured work surface, shape into a roll and roll out on the baking sheet.
  3. Spread the butter evenly on the dough in flakes. Mix the sugar and vanilla sugar, sprinkle over it and distribute the almonds evenly over the top.
  4. Let the cake rest for 15 minutes. Put the tray in the oven and bake at 200 ° C top / bottom heat for 20 minutes.
