Ingredients

  • 400 g tofu
  • 2 small onions
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 2 bell pepper (s), green
  • 2 teaspoons mustard
  • 12 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons sugar, brown
  • a bit salt
  • some pepper
  • some olive oil
  • 12 small rolls, (burger rolls, 50 g each)

Instructions

  1. Wash the peppers, peel the onions and garlic. Finely dice the bell pepper and onions, finely chop the garlic. Mash the tofu with a fork so that you have a lot of crumbs.
  2. Now fry the peppers, onions and garlic in a pan in a little olive oil until the onions are translucent. Then you add the crumbled tofu and fry it briefly. Stir in mustard, ketchup and brown sugar and simmer everything over low heat (preferably covered) for about 30 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Halve the burger buns and spread about a tablespoon of the mixture on each underside. Put the top on and enjoy.
  3. We always eat French fries and a salad with it.
