Ingredients

  • 250 g butter or mararine
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 350 g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 5 medium egg (s)
  • 50 ml milk
  • 50 g almond (s), round
  • Bitter almond flavor
  • 1 roll (s) Smarties, large

For decoration: smarties

    For the glaze:

    • 250 g powdered suar
    • 1 tablespoon water, hot
    • 2 tablespoon lemon juice

    Instructions

    1. Mix the butter with sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy. Gradually add eggs and keep stirring. Mix flour with baking powder and ground almonds and add to the mixture. Stir the milk and bitter almond flavor into the batter. Now fold in the smarties. Pour the dough into a greased and breaded ring cake pan and bake at 170 degrees for about 50 minutes.
    2. Make a icing from powdered sugar, water and lemon juice, brush the cake with it and decorate with the remaining Smarties.
    3. Tip 1: The cake tastes delicious even with a chocolate icing!
    4. Tip 2: I made this recipe for my little one`s children`s birthday party and divided the dough into small Guglhup molds so that each child had their own Smarties cake. Is very well received!
