Ingredients

  • 1 carrot (s), finely diced
  • 2 sticks celery, finely diced
  • 1 onion (s), finely diced
  • 1 clove garlic, finely diced
  • 200 g smoked tofu, mashed with a fork
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 can tomatoes, chunky, 400 ml
  • water
  • salt and pepper
  • Agave syrup
  • Chilli flakes
  • basil
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce, sweet (Ketjap Manis)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a Teflon pan and fry the crushed smoked tofu in it until golden brown. Add all the vegetables and fry for 5 minutes. Make a spot in the middle of the pan and fry the tomato paste there. Add the contents of the tomato can and stir well. Fill the can with water and add this as well. Season to taste with the spices and soy sauce, do not skimp on salt. Let everything simmer over low heat for 15 minutes and serve with pasta of your choice.
