Snack Bread with Cheese and Onions

A loaf of white bread “with a flick of the hand” turns into a fragrant snack with cheese and green onions.
Ingredients
- Round white bread – 1 pc.
- Hard cheese – 450 g
- Softened butter – 0.5 cups
- Green onions – 1 bunch
- Poppy – 2-3 tbsp
How to make a snack bread with cheese and onions:
Directions
- Chop the onion.
- Cut the cheese into slices.
- On the entire surface of the loaf, make deep cuts with a “mesh” – first into slices along, and then across. Do not cut to the end (the bottom crust must remain intact).
- Place the slices of cheese between the pieces of bread.
- Mix oil, chives, and poppy seeds.
- Spread the onion mixture over the loaf on top and between the pieces of bread.
- Wrap the loaf in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake the snack bread with cheese and onions for 15 minutes at 175 degrees.
Expand the foil. Bake for another 10 minutes.
