  • Tartlets – 6 pcs.
  • Crab sticks – 4 pcs.
  • Rice (raw) – 30 g
  • Hard cheese – 30 g
  • Garlic – 0.5 cloves
  • Mayonnaise – 0.5 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Boiled sausage (for decorating snacks) – 40 g
  • Black peppercorns (for decorating snacks) – 12 pcs.

Prepare all the ingredients you need to make the Piglet New Years Eve Snack. Boil the rice in advance until tender (about 20 minutes) in a larger than usual amount of salted water (400-500 ml), fold it onto a sieve and cool. Defrost crab sticks (or buy chilled ones). It is better to use tartlets made from shortcrust pastry, rather than wafer baskets.

  1. Grate cheese and crab sticks on a fine grater and combine in a bowl. Add boiled rice.
  2. Add chopped garlic and mayonnaise.
  3. Stir in the crab snack.
  4. Put ready-made tartlets on a plate.
  5. Use your hands soaked in water to form balls of the appetizer and place in the tartlets.
  6. Cut the boiled sausage or sausage into 6 slices (according to the number of tartlets). Make holes in the circles with a cocktail tube – you get “piglets”. Also cut out ears-hearts from pieces of sausage – 12 pieces.

  7. Decorate the appetizer in the tartlets with sausage elements, imitating the faces of pigs.
  8. Use mayonnaise and black peppercorns to make eyes for the piglets.
