Meat-filled snack pies are a great snack option. Such pies do not look like the baked pies we are used to – they are small, the length of one pie is 7 cm, more similar in shape and size to baked dumplings. But how tasty and original they are: yeast-free dough, false puff, on feta cheese, very easy to use. Fried minced meat filling with bell peppers, green onions and spices – spicy, aromatic and juicy!

Minced meat (I have beef) – 200 g

Directions
Let’s start making pies with dough. Grate cold butter on a coarse grater.
Grate the feta cheese on a coarse grater directly into the bowl of butter.
Sift flour and turmeric into a bowl of butter and cheese. Since feta cheese is salty, there is no need to add salt to the dough.
Use a spoon to stir the ingredients until crumbled.
Beat in an egg, taking about half of the yolk to grease the patties before baking.
Use your hand to quickly knead the dough and gather into a ball. Put the dough in a bag and send it to the refrigerator while the filling is cooking.
Heat the sunflower oil in a frying pan and fry the minced meat in it until tender.
Cut the sweet red pepper into small cubes. Rinse green onions and chop finely.
Add chopped bell peppers to the fried minced meat, add salt, cumin, cinnamon, sugar, red hot pepper.
Continue frying the minced meat for another 3-4 minutes on a low-medium heat.
Add green onions to the fried mince, stir and remove the pan from the stove. Transfer the minced meat to a bowl and let cool.
Remove the dough from the refrigerator. Roll out the dough into a layer about 0.5 cm thick on a floured table.
With a round mold with a diameter of 7 cm, cut out blanks from the dough.
Collect the dough scraps back into a ball. Spread the filling on dough circles, 1-1.5 teaspoon each. for each pie.
Shape the meat pies into dumplings, lifting the edges over the filling and holding them tightly together. Roll out the remaining dough, cut out the circles, spread the filling and form the next batch of mini pies. Thus, you should have gone all the dough and all the filling. In total, I got 20 pies.
Place the prepared meat pies on a baking sheet covered with baking parchment. Lubricate the pies with the previously left yolk mixed with 0.5 teaspoon. water.
Bake the meat pies in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Meat pies are ready!
These pies are delicious both warm and already cooled. Meat-filled snack pies store perfectly in a bag in the refrigerator.
