Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C (convection). Beat the margarine with both types of sugar, vanilla sugar and salt until frothy. Add the applesauce and stir the mixture until creamy.
  2. Stir the flour into the mixture spoon by spoon and finally add the baking powder. Optionally, you can give your cookies a special touch by adding additional ingredients to the dough. You can e.g., Put chocolate lentils, nuts or raisins in the dough.
  3. Use two spoons to place piles of dough the size of a walnut on a baking sheet, but do not smooth it out. Make sure there is enough space between the piles so that the cookies do not stick together.
  4. Put the baking sheet in the middle of the oven. Bake the cookies for about 7 minutes, until the edges are lightly brown. Then take the tray out of the oven and let the cookies cool down.
  5. At first they are still very soft and look unsuccessful. But the cookies harden when they cool down. When the cookies are completely cool, they are completely ready and taste best.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
