Soup – Apple Puree

Ingredients

  • Apple – 500 g
  • White bread – 200 g
  • Sugar – 0.5 cups (to taste)
  • Rice – 2 tbsp
  • Lemon zest – 2-3 wedges (to taste)
  • or cinnamon – 1 stick (to taste)
  • Sour cream (when served) – 4 tbsp (to taste)

Directions

  1. Products according to the recipe for apple puree soup. Boil the kettle.
  2. Boil rice separately until cooked.
  3. Rinse the apples, cut into pieces and, after removing the seeds, put in a saucepan.
  4. Cut the bread into pieces (no crusts).
  5. Wash the lemon, cut off the zest.
  6. Add sliced ​​white bread to the apples. You can also add zest cut from lemon or a few pieces of cinnamon.
  7. After that, pour all 4 glasses of hot water.
  8. Cover and simmer until the apples are boiled over low heat (about 20 minutes).
  9. Then remove the pan from the heat, remove the zest or pieces of cinnamon, and rub the rest through a sieve.
  10. Put the resulting puree in a saucepan, add sugar.
  11. Then dilute with hot water to a normal thickness of the puree soup and boil.
  12. When serving, put a tablespoon of separately boiled rice into plates.
  13. The apple puree soup is ready.
  14. You can also serve sour cream with the applesauce.
