Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 5 chicken breast fillet (s)
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon basil, dried
  • 100 ml soy sauce, dark
  • 120 ml ketchup
  • 60 ml honey
  • 2 garlic clove (s), pressed
  • 2 spring onions, cut into rings
  • 1 bell pepper (s), (red or yellow), cut into pieces

Instructions

  1. The recipe is designed for a 3.5 L Crockpot (CP).
  2. First rub the inner pot with a little oil. Place the chicken breasts side by side on the bottom of the CP and sprinkle with cayenne pepper and basil. Top with the spring onion and bell pepper. Mix the soy sauce, ketchup, honey and garlic into a marinade and pour evenly over the dish. Cover. The braising time is between 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 hours on the medium setting.
  3. Rice is an excellent accompaniment.
