Ingredients

  • 0.5 liter ½ vegetable stock
  • 3 spring onion (s)
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 200 g spelled flakes
  • 1 carrot (s)
  • salt and pepper
  • Bell pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring the vegetable stock to the boil, add the spelled flakes, remove the saucepan from the stove and wait 10 minutes.
  2. Finely grate the carrot, chop the spring onions and peppers, chop the parsley and place in a bowl.
  3. Now put the pot back on the stove and heat it again, stirring constantly until the liquid has almost completely disappeared. Take the pot off the stove and let the contents cool down. Then add to the bowl with the vegetables. Mix well with the egg and spices. If the mixture is not firm enough, add breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat a pan on medium heat, add a little fat.
  5. Shape the mixture into patties about 1 cm thick and place in the pan. Fry for about 5 minutes on each side. Do not turn around until after this time, otherwise they will easily fall apart.
