Spelled – Rye Bread

Instructions

  1. Mix the spelled and rye flour together in a bowl. Add the dried yeast and salt and a dash of olive oil. Equip the hand mixer with the dough hook and now work approx. 220 ml of lukewarm water into the flour mixture.
  2. If the dough is too runny, add a little more flour, or if it is too tough, add a little water. Then cover the dough with a clean tea towel and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  3. After the resting time, shape the dough into a loaf of bread or place in a loaf pan. Cover and let rise for another hour until the dough has doubled in volume.
  4. Preheat the oven to 150 ° C. Brush the bread with a little olive oil, put in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes. Let cool down. If the bread sounds hollow when you knock it, it`s done.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
