Ingredients

  • 500 g beef
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 4 tablespoon water
  • 4 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 6 chilli pepper (s), from the brine, deseeded, chopped into small pieces
  • 0.5 ½ cup Tabasco, green
  • 1 medium onion (s)
  • 200 ml cream
  • 2 tablespoon peanut butter
  • possibly sauce thickener

Instructions

  1. Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces. Whisk the egg, cornstarch, pepper, sugar, water, soy sauce, chili peppers and green tabasco together to form a marinade. Marinate the meat in it for about 30 minutes.
  2. Peel and chop the onion, remove the meat from the marinade (not with the marinade) and fry well together with the onion pieces. A wok is best for this, but a high pan that transfers the heat well will also work.
  3. To make the peanut sauce, remove the meat from the wok (or pan) and keep it warm. Deglaze the roast set with the marinade and cream and bring to the boil together with the peanut butter and possibly with a little sauce thickener. Season as needed.
  4. I recommend rice and bacon beans as side dishes.
