Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 onion (s), finely chopped
  • 1 sprig rosemary, finely chopped
  • 2 sprigs rosemary, halved
  • 40 g iner, peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 chilli pepper (s), red, pitted and finely chopped
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 4 chicken drumsticks, washed cold and patted dry
  • 175 g apricot (s), dried
  • 2 tablespoon honey, lighter
  • 1 can tomato (s), peeled, 400 ml
  • sea-salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • 0.5 ½ bunch basil
  • water

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil and butter, sauté the finely chopped onion, half of the rosemary, ginger and chilli. Fold in the cinnamon stick and the remaining sprigs of rosemary. After a short while, add the chicken legs and fry on both sides. It is advisable to reduce the heat so that the spices do not burn. Now the apricots and honey can be mixed in, after a short cooking time finally the peeled tomatoes with juice. If necessary, add a little water and bring the liquid to a boil. The heat may have to be reduced again. Cover and let the legs simmer for about 35 - 40 minutes. Finally, depending on your taste, you can season with salt and pepper and sprinkle the roughly chopped basil on top.
  2. Couscous goes perfectly with this dish. But rice and potatoes are also very tasty with it.
